This Sunday Plate first round tie at Crammond saw an energetic Falkirk side producing good inter-passing hockey such that Joe Trodden came close to finding the all important opener, after a good cross from Scott Coventry and Joe later set up Jonathan Nugent with another opening. Jonny Reid toiled like a beaver in midfield and Richard Middleton ferreted away but no one could finish. Craig MacDonald was useful at the back and Michael Steel in goal did the necessary to deny MIM their scoring moment. Arthur Robertson kept a steady control of play until Derek Morrison's shot into the circle was deflected high by a defenders stick and fell beside the keeper whose clearance was collected by Graeme schoolboy Jonathan Nugent and cheekily prodded into goal. Holding onto this narrowest of leads, the seconds seemed to drag until the final whistle.
