With Steven Egan saving a Penalty Flick award this ensured the goals from Stafford Dickson (2), Michael Watson (3), and Douglas Blakeley were just enough to give Falkirk the game.

With the scoresheet clear at half time, Falkirk spurning corner scoring chances. Coming from 2-0 down, Falkirk finally took the game by the scruff of the neck with Ally Wilson claiming two, Douglas Nicol and David Ferguson the remainder in a hectic twenty minute period at the end of the game which saw seven goals scored.
Another satisfying result which helps the thirds lift themselves from the lower echelons of Division 2. The visitors did manage a consolation goal but scores by Iain Cameron, Calum Taylor, Scott Morrison and Clark Whitton were enough to claim two much needed league points.

In a slick start the Edinburgh host fired in a quick shot forcing keeper Kevin Cumming to cleverly deflect clear with his stick. After his first shot was saved, Gregor Maxwell netted from a build up involving Derek Morrison and Jonathan Reid. Morrison later had a shot go wide before, from a Reid run, Morrison made it two. Two brilliant saves by keeper Cumming, one from a penalty corner strike at goal, denied Watsonians the chance to get into the game. The third score came from running by Maxwell, a pass to Morrison for Ross Crerar to score. Watsonians managed a late score.

Falkirk found themselves up against a powerful Edinburgh side containing some who had dropped down their Club having played Division 1 hockey. However Falkirk's Division 3 side was no match for them.
From the opening whistle Falkirk went up the park, John Galloway hit the ball to Graeme High Schoolboy Scott Coventry in the circle who crossed the ball in front of goal to a waiting Stuart Gardner who piloted the ball goalwards for number one. Robert Sutton hit in the second, helped by Graeme schoolboy Jonathan Nugent's foot, with fellow pupil Scott Coventry putting his name on the third, again from a John Galloway hit in. Andrew Claridge did much good running to be rewarded with the fourth goal and while little Richard Middleton ferreted away up front was unlucky not to find the net. Braes High schoolboy Royce Lumsden was unlucky not to divert a Robert Sutton revers-stick cross into goal, but Sutton made no mistake with a clever lofted ball, after MIM scored a consolation goal.

The youngsters again played some excellent inter passing hockey and Gregor Maxwell put the finishing touches to see Falkirk in a 3-2 lead. However a mix up in defence saw the Edinburgh side level the game and claim a share of the points.
