Falkirk GHG II 1
Beginning at a good pace, Falkirk played well and were rewarded with an award of a penalty corner in the 20th minute. In a well worked corner routine involving Graham Miller, Stephen Sutton and Douglas Nicol, David Sharp was perfectly positioned to net from three yards out. Scott Ferguson looked confident and reassured at the back with Andrew Easton also serving to deny the Fifers the chance to level on this Falkirk's first visit to the new Astro at Rosyth Dockyard.

On the water based astro at Peffermill, the hosts broke the deadlock opening the scoring in the 13th minute after a poorly directed free hit. Falkirk soon responded with Willie Simpson crossing the ball to a waiting Raymond Biggerstaff who slipped the ball in from close range, to level the game. Team Captain Gregor Maxwell showed all before him a clean pair of heels as he sprinted away to elude the keeper fire in a second, repeating the same manoeuvre soon after, but only to see the ball rebound clear off the upright. Jonathan Reid set up a later chance with good supporting work in midfield by Joe Trodden and Ross Crerar.

Falkirk GHG VI 3
The Glasgow side were delighted to welcome their visitors and a most enjoyable friendly was played out. Numerous chances to go in front went a begging, with David Humphreys and Austin Heggie hitting the upright, before Acies found the net despite the attentions of John McPherson at the back. The second half saw things change with trialist Ally Wilson finding the way to gaol. Ryan Thomson made it two after interpassing with Austin Heggie, and Ally Wilson made it three, again after good build up work by Heggie who is showing a pleasing return to his form of old. Young Scott Coventry played well and was unlucky not to score.
