Falkirk GHG IV 1
Falkirk opened the scoring at Meadowbank astroturf when David Sharp showed he knew the way to goal to slot in the opener in the fifteenth minute. Shortly before the break, the Edinburgh side had the ball in the top corner of the net to level. David Wood had to retire with an injured finger followed by Calum Taylor and Captain Gregor Maxwell came on despite nursing an injured arm, but was unable to put chances away. Even with good goalminding by Kevin Cummings Waverley increased their tally to knock Falkirk out of the cup competition.

Dundee Wanderers III 4
The only team in the Dundee Club remaining in the Plate competition, (Falkirk having dispatched all others systematically), it was no surprise when Wanderers took their revenge on Falkirk by knocking them out of the Plate. Despite playing well at the back, with Chas Kemp, David Craig, Malcolm Taylor and Ian Cope in control, Chris Sim made the opener. Jonathan Keller played well, and Stephen Macdonald made it two. Wanderers had other ideas, and clinically went about clawing their way back into the lead with four scores despite the heroics of Jamie Ballantine in goal.

Falkirk VI 0
Another team to vacate the cup competition saw the sixes put up a good enough performance against this West District Division 2 side. When they played good interpassing hockey there was the chance to do something with the game - Stuart Macdonald, Scott Coventry, Craig Waterson and Amrit Dhillon making openings, but it wasn't to be. The one goal that settled the game came after repeated good clearances by Graeme High Schoolboy Michael Steel, when disarray at the back saw the Glasgow side cleverly flick the ball into goal.
