A goal from Iain Fraser in this East League Division 1 game at Peffermill was enough to bring two more league points back to Falkirk. Jamie Ballantyne in goal had several good saves to keep Alloa at bay.
Inveresk III

Falkirk GHG V 0
Inveresk were short of players to play the Falkirk side's 3rd XI and clearly used them to enhance their third string who met the 5ths. But for a sound piece of defending by Jonathan Kellar and inspirational work by Kevin Cummings between the uprights, the scoreline would have reached double figures.
Kirkcaldy III

Falkirk GHG VI 3
There was no doubt that this would be a hard-fought contest on the astro at Kirkcaldy High School and Falkirk were soon trailing by two goals despite diving saves by Michael Steel in goal. Andrew Claridge gave the team new heart with his score but the Fifers soon added yet another. Something seemed to shake Falkirk into action and Adrian Lewis produced an excellent solo effort to reduce the deficit by one with his score, following with another solo run which Derek Morrison really blasted the ball in to level the game, much to the annoyance of the Fife team. The dying minutes saw Kirkcaldy doing anything to score but to no avail, after a tremendous fightback which saw excellent play by Amrit Dhillon and Jonathan Nugent.
Falkirk exploded into this game with a goal within the first 10 minutes scored by young Stuart MacDonald which was the result of some excellent passing. Grange equalised through a defensive blunder, about the only one in the game, and the ball sneaked into the far corner to make it 1-1. Falkirk stepped up the inter-passing of the ball and one ball which came from the home base line and was never touched by a Grange player until it was retrieved from the net, again scored by MacDonald. The second half started with young Chris Anderson slotting the ball past the Grange keeper in the first minute to make it 3-1. The game progressed with Falkirk pressing all the time and finally a fourth goal came through Ryan McColgan which again was the result of excellent passing. The result of the game was due to some new young players in Arthur Robertson and Calum Taylor who controlled the centre of the field and also to Craig Waterson who was a stalwart in defence.
