In the Spektra Indoor National League Division 2, played at the Dundee International Sports Centre, Falkirk GHG were trailing after five minutes to Dundee side MGM. Ray Ronan in goal saved a penalty to stop them going further ahead. Falkirk pulled themselves back into the game after the turn round with goals from Michael Watson and Stafford Dickson, but this slender lead was nullified in the last two minutes when MGM leveled.

Wanderers narrowly defeated the Falkirk side 6-5 despite goals from Stafford Dickson (3), Michael Watson and Douglas Nicol.

That the scoreline was not higher shows the determined performance put in by the schoolboys against the adults from the Falkirk Club. Graeme High were joined by Martin Waddell and Mathew Symes from Braes High for their first competitive outing and were not overawed by the much larger opposition. Craig Adams in goal had some good saves, as did fellow schoolboy Craig Kielarski in goal for the older side. Two goals a piece by Derek Morrison and Gregor Maxwell gave victory to the older side who were impressed by the level of commitment and determination shown by the schoolboys.
