MIM Development 'A' 2
Falkirk were more than a little surprised to find all of Friday's snow had vanished from Bathgate astroturf - a venue notorious for having its own micro climate which sees snow lie long after it melts in the rest of Bathgate. Falkirk scored the first and last goals of the game. A Gregor Maxwell shot rebounded off the keeper where a waiting Jonathan Reid hit into the back of the net. The Edinburgh side later equalised and then went ahead, but in the last five minutes, Maxwell flicked in a Derek Morrison shot to level the game for a share of the league points.

Falkirk GHG VI 1
Their league game at Bathgate canceled
by weather, the team went west in search of a friendly fixture at very short
notice, with five schoolboys in the team. Young Chris Anderson hit the post
before the hosts flicked in the opener past an unpadded John Galloway as kicking
back. Falkirk leveled from a penalty corner award, with David Humphreys hitting
the ball out to John Galloway, then back to Humphreys who slipped the ball
past the keeper. A later attempt in a similar style saw Andrew Woodland wide.
The second half saw good openings created by Ross Connel, Johnathan Nugent,
but despite good defending by John McPherson, Gordon Anderson, Andrew Claridge
and Scott McNeill, the hosts fired in two more. This did not deter Falkirk
who harried in midfield with Graeme schoolboy Craig Callaghan not afraid to
take on and with the ball from older and larger opponents.
