Falkirk GHG III 2
Watsonians won 2-1 on penalties
The Falkirk Club's third team, after their narrow victory in the semis over Falkirk's fourth team last week, when their form showed a distinct lack of sparkle, had obviously given themselves a good shake in anticipation for the encounter with the Edinburgh Club on the artificial pitch at Peffermill. Falkirk were dominating the first ten to fifteen minutes with Ross Connell coming close to breaking the deadlock. Watsons dominated the rest of the half with a score around ten minutes from the break to give them the lead. Falkirk took over again to press and were rewarded with an equaliser from Johnathan Nugent. Ross Crerar scored the second from close range, but hanging on as they did, Watsonians came back and found the equaliser in the last three minutes of the game to level and send teams to a penalty flick shoot out. With the keepers in good form, Falkirk could only manage one score to allow Watsons to slip ahead with two scores to see them lift the Reserve Plate.
