Falkirk GHG II 2
This Sunday District Plate game took the Seconds to the East Neuk and saw them progress into the next round of the competition. Both sides cancelled out each other in midfield in the first half, with a mixture of youth and experience for Falkirk seeing them and turn round with the scoresheet blank at the break. A Penalty flick award was not converted and it took two penalty corners to put Falkirk ahead - the first from Robert Sutton and then by Andrew Easton. With the backs to the wall in the last fifteen minutes of second half, the hosts scored to make the scoreline a little tighter than it should.

Falkirk GHG VI 5
Falkirk were still smarting after their heavy defeat yesterday, and when they went 2-0 down to the students they said enough was enough and pulled their socks up and played some excellent hockey. Their first goal came from some excellent play in the middle of the pitch with a through ball from Stuart Brown who found Joe Trodden who expertly slipped the ball past the home keeper, 2-1 it was at halftime. Falkirk burst into the second half with another goal of the season from young Joe Trodden who definitely was on a roll. Unfortunately his hat trick was not to be with young Ross Crerar showing that he could do the same and emulate that he could score with two cracking goals that almost burst the net at least once. The fifth was a mazy run from Gregor Maxwell who passed the ball to Taylor who slipped it under the outcoming home keeper for it to pass to Kevin Cummings at the back post who expertly pushed it over the line for the final goal of the game.
