Match reports for 16/4/05
Aberdeen GSFP 4
Falkirk GHG 0
With almost half the regular squad unavailable, Falkirk travelled to Aberdeen
knowing it was not going to be an easy day. Falkirk started positively with
good work in the midfield from Dougie Nicol and Craig Gove causing the homeside
some difficulty. The make shift defence of Ferguson, Anderson, Dickson and McNeil,
who had been called in from the third eleven, were also holding strong much
to the frustration of the home side. The home side were awarded two controversial
penalties in quick succession and despite saving the first, Robert Thomson in
goal was unable to save the second and Falkirk went into the second half 1-0
down. A poor start to the second half saw Grammer score three in 10 minutes
before Falkirk re-grouped and finished the game strongly.
