A poor performance from Falkirk was punished by a solid Clydesdale side. Falkirk went behind early on, and struggled to get back into the game as Clydesdale played a high line to pressurise the Falkirk defence. With Ally Wilson suspended, Falkirk were forced to come up with other attacking options, and despite having a number of chances through out the game, they were unable to make any impression. Falkirk's consolation goal came from the stick of Arthur Robertson, flicking home from a tight angle after beating the keeper to the ball.
Falkirk GHG 5
Watsonians 6
Falkirk got their act together in an attacking sense in the final match before the midseason break, but were unable to put together a defensive performance to match. Despite the loss of three quick goals in the first half, Falkirk fought back to be level at the break from a brace of Stafford Dickson penalty corner goals and a strike from Kevin Russell, Watsonians took another 3 goal lead in the second half after 2 quick breaks from Falkirk attacks and a deflection from a free hit, but again Falkirk fought back. Two more goals from Dickson at penalty corners got Falkirk back into the match, but the clock ran out on Falkirk before they could find an equaliser.
