Falkirk GHG IV 9
Dundee Wanderers VI 0
This reserve cup draw saw Dundee arrive only with 9 men. Although having a two
man advantage Falkirk could just not get a start until young Ali Nayer was pushed
of a shooting chance by the Dundee defence, up stepped Stevie Sutton to slot
the penalty home. Half time came and the Falkirk squad offered a umpire to the
visitors which was refused. A tactical change of position at the half saw Falkirk
utilise the two extra men to the full. Four goals for Paul Paton, three inspired
goals by Ian Forbes and one goal by young Ali Nayer completed the scores although
many other chances went begging. Great performances all round throughout the
team but young Mr Nayer had a sublime day creating many of the chances for the
others, long may it continue. Dundee tried valiantly but to no avail.
