In their second match of the weekend, Falkirk took the initiative and pinned
ESM back into their own half, but were unable to break down a stubborn defence.
ESM shocked the home side with a opener that was turned into the net from close
range, but were only ahead for a couple of minutes before Falkirk managed an
equaliser. A quick free-hit from Arthur Robertson found Michael Watson in the
box, who squared to Chris Anderson to score into an empty net. Falkirk spurned
more chances, but took the lead at the start of the second half when Stafford
Dickson converted his second penalty corner of the weekend. Despite having the
better of their opponents, Falkirk found themselves pegged back again after
another penalty corner. With time running out Falkirk were denied full points
when Michael Watson's strike was blocked on the line, with the keeper getting
back to save the goal-bound follow up, and secure ESM a draw.
