Falkirk GHG IV 1
Carnegie V 7
Although the Falkirk side's park was snowed off the Dunfermline team graciously
invited the 4th team over to their Rosyth park. Lots of new faces in the Carnegie
pack were out to prove their worth on the park, within 10 minutes of play Falkirk
were 2-0 down and they were not playing badly. Keeper Gareth Brown saved a well
taken PF then some resilient tackling and some great goal keeping actually kept
the score line to 4-0 at half time. Falkirk came out fighting in the second
half as if they had just stepped onto the park and were putting the home side
under a lot of pressure. Some intricate small passes were to be the key but
the goals were just not forth coming although the chances were there. At 6-0
down Falkirk at last got a consolation goal through the hands of Stuart Taylor,
this only upset the home team and pressure was again applied, another PF award
this time unfortunately not saved by Brown. A 7-1 final score but by no means
a disgrace.
