Sunday's encounter was a club 11 fielded by Falkirk against a 10 man Dundee, Dundee fired in the first goal as Falkirk tried to get into the flow, this seemed to spur on the home side who 2 mins later got the equalizer by Paul Paton. Dundee got a further 2 goals before the half although these were against the run of play. Falkirk seemed to be playing great hockey but just lost out at the finish. The 2nd half was much the same with Falkirk soaking up pressure then losing 2 short corner goals at the back post. Falkirk rallied with goals from Stuart Taylor and Ross Dickson, but time was against the home side and despite a tireless performance up to the final whistle Falkirk were unable to close the gap any further.
