The 2nds once again failed to turn what should have been a winnable game into 3 points on Saturday against Stirling. Despite goals by David Jewell and James Robertson, Falkirk finished the afternoon on the wrong end of a 5 - 2 scoreline.

Falkirk 3rd XI turned up at the new pitch at Meggetland to find they were playing against a strong Edinburgh side. The gulf in class between a few of Edinburgh’s players and the East District side fielded by Falkirk ensured that they never stood a chance. Despite chances falling to Danny Gibney and Iain Cameron the skill of the Edinburgh players were guaranteed a home win. Despite the scores being level at half time, Edinburgh stepped up the pace in the second half. Although Duncan Service in goals produced some excellent saves, and goal line clearances from Scott McNeill and Stephen Macdonald, Edinburgh were to score twice to ensure the win, which given their team, was always a formality.
