The local side got back to winning ways with a comfortable win over Grammar at Linlithgow. From the first whistle Falkirk were in control of the midfield, and almost opened the scoring when Jonny Anderson's deflection cannoned off the face of the cross bar. Michael Watson volleyed just past the top corner after a strong run by James Moran, and numerous other half chances were passed up as Falkirk battered the Aberdeen defence. The breakthrough finally arrive when Arthur Robertson's through ball was slotted across the keeper by Watson, and the lead was quickly doubled when Gordon Anderson converted a penalty corner with a drag flick past the keeper. Iain Fraser got off the mark for the season with Falkirk's third, after his maze-up from the right wing ended with him jinking round the keeper and flicking past the defender on the line. Falkirk almost added a fourth before the break when Craig Gove burst through on goal, but he was denied by a good save from the visiting keeper. Despite only getting near the Falkirk goal twice in the first half, Aberdeen managed some sustained pressure at the start of the second as Falkirk seemed to drop down a couple of gears. However the home defence stood firm and when the attacking game finally clicked back into shape, a further 2 goals were added to give the scoreline a more respectable look. Firstly Michael Watson grabbed his second from a penalty corner, flicking past the keeper from 10 yards, before Gordon Anderson also got his second, touching the ball over from inches after Douglas Nicol's effort was saved by the keeper.
Match reports for 27/10/07A trip away to Kinross saw yet another defeat for the 3rd XI. After going 3-0 down in the first half, the Falkirk outfit showed a bit more steel in the second half and if they had managed to convert any of the changes they created it could have been a different story. In the end Kinross deservedly won the game 4-1 with Danny Gibney grabbing the consolation strike with the last hit of the ball. The 3rd XI managed to allow themselves to be distracted by the home umpire and this completely ruined the game for them.
