Match reports for 31/1/09Falkirk GHG IV 0
Inverleith B 0Falkrk had the home side advantage this time in the revenge encounter, and after their spankng last time were well up for the task, a slightly different looking Inverleith side took to the pitch, and seemed a much younger side than before. The match started at a fast and furious pace, which continued throughout the game, end to end stuff good harrying and stealing in midfield and strong controlled defence was the order of the day. Chances came and went and the Inverleith keeper had to be on his toes to thwart the advances of Sutton and Anderson, Falkirk's midfield seemed to be in control of the ball more than the younger visitors and when the ball did manage to pierce the defence (not that often) Craig Malcolm was more than a match for it and despatched the ball clinically as per his usual skill. a mutch better performance this week with good communication throughout and 100% effort given from the whole squad which is always appreciated from the skipper, unfortunate not to get all 3 points but a deserved and well worked pont gained none the less.
